Foil Balloon

A foil balloon isn’t actually made from aluminum foil. The material used in their construction is called Mylar, and is actually a plastic, not a metal. They are a very popular alternative to the standard latex balloon.

A foil balloon has a fairly major advantage over their latex counterparts. Generally speaking, a balloon made from Mylar will hold helium much longer than will a latex balloon. This means that they well last longer and they can also be refilled.

A foil balloon also has another advantage. There are many people throughout the world that are allergic to latex. A balloon made from Mylar will not affect latex allergy sufferers.
